Research Centers: Agricultural Energy Efficiency

MEERC is pleased to announce plans in 2015 for the continuation of the hugely successful Ag-Energy program; MAESTRO!

With new and additional financing opportunities for Farm owner/operators to increase energy and production efficiencies! The program includes:

• Ag production energy audits
• Comprehensive advising on clean energy solutions
• Prioritization of efficient technology applications

Field data from production facilities indicates that secondary production benefits (beyond energy savings) may result from applications of energy efficient technologies in agricultural production facilities. A research program has been commenced to verify if such improvements occur. This program is titled “Efficient and Profitable Agricultural Production Systems” (EPAPS). Research is underway.
